Trouble with drop down menu
I`m recently having problems with browsing to a drive or folder. For example, if I open notepad, and try to open a file,it`s always set to my documents in the "look in" window. If I click the arrow,no new folders (drives) open up. I have to click several times to get a result. It is annoying. I recently installed an HP 8200e external CD writer, to a usb port.(wonder if this has anything to do with prob). I also just reinstalled the "C"drive files with my "Driveimage" copy. This should have cleared up the matter, but it hasn`t. I`m beginning to suspect it has somethoing to do with the added HP writer, or maybe the mouse needs some kind of adjustment???Any opinions?

Thanks Chancie! I just put the unit on a switch. When I kill the power to it,my drop down menue works fine! Guess this is an unexpected "advantage" of an external USB unit!

Sure enough! Just unplugged the HP writer from the USB port, and now the drop down menues work fine! Problem is, how do I get my cake and eat it too? I want the CD writer plugged in,and want to browse efficiently too. BTW I have a Dimension 350. I mentioned the CD writer is an external HP 8200e to a usb port. Thanks! (service tag EDBT0)
