Oh stop. I like Microsoft. If not for them we wouldn't have much would we?
Thats why they invented Apple, for people who think they can find away around the BEST, which is Windows.
- Up-date your virus program first, test the whole system and quarantine /delete the viruses.Once you get the mess clean and running, Setup and run the antivirus program all the time. When you are on the web and/or downloading or opening E-mail you are open to viruses without a operating AV program. The virus writers getting better and busier. The program is made to run by itself but you must update it ,,,,weekly is best!

I had Norton set to run weekly as it painfull to run everytime you sign in ! As in my second message I ran Norton, it put them in quarantine but could not remove or repair my system files (12) ,also I can not seem to retrieve to find the names of the dirty little buggers, I may need someone who is more adept at this than me. I had backed up my whole system in my second harddrive , but cannot figure out how to revert to it either.

You will have to identify the 12 viruses before anyone can offer any help except to advise you to format and reinstall Windows. If you somehow picked up 12 viruses is it possible that you somehow forgot to have an updated antivirus program running on your computer?
