    Hi Aravind.k,

You may try the following steps. Reset BIOS to default settings:

    • Restart the computer
    • Tap ‘F2’ on Dell logo 2-3 times. This will take you to the ‘BIOS’ screen
    • Press ‘F9’ key, choose ‘Yes’ on the confirmation window, press ‘Enter’
    • Press ‘F10’ key, choose ‘Yes’ on the conformation window, press ‘Enter’ to reboot the system

You can turn on battery charging using Dell Quickset.
Right click on the battery icon -> choose ‘Battery Health Meter’-> uncheck, ‘Turn off battery charging' -> restart the computer.

You can download and install Dell Quickset’ through the following steps:

    • Click on the link http://dell.to/11dFnmt
    • Click on ‘Download File’
    • Check on the radio box ‘Single-file download’
    • Click on ‘Continue’
    • Choose the location as desktop,
    • Click on ‘Save’, save the file on the desktop
    • Double click on the file; choose ‘Continue’
    • Click 'OK' on ‘Select the folder’ where you want to unzip the files (make a note of the folder location)
    • Click ‘Yes’
    • Click ‘Ok’, follow the on screen instructions and install the file
    • Restart the computer

In case you do not get prompts on the screen for instructions, then

    • Browse to the folder where the files were unzipped and locate the setup file
    • Double click on the file; follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation

    Hi Aravind.k,

Thank you for the response. Please reply with the options available in the Quickset (share screenshot if possible). I would suggest you to update the BIOS of the computer. Here is the link http://dell.to/U3sneH

Note: Before updating BIOS please ensure that:
*Battery is 10%> or >10% charged
    *Battery charger should be connected
*No external devices (flash drives, printers, external hard drives) should be connected.
*All other programs should be closed and documents saved

Please check the AC Adapter status in BIOS; check the ‘AC Adapter type’ status if it shows ‘Unknown/  Not Detected / 65W / 90W / 130W'.

Please reply if you have any questions.
