Keyboard with pointer mouse not working on i8600
I recently replaced the keyboard on my i8600 with the different model with pointer mouse built-in. I did not like the original filmy keyboard with no pointer mouse so I got this model 1M745 and replaced it on my laptop. Now, the pointer mouse is not responding but the keys works just fine. I updated the bios, installed the mousepad driver and changed settings in the bios to see if the pointer mouse will respond but to no avail. Anyone got any suggestions?

- You'll need to got plamrest / touchpad for i8500/8600. This palmrest have ADDITIONAL BUTTONS in front of the touchpad. This is what you will need in order to get the pointer mouse to work since the original i8600 palmrest wasn't designed to work with pointer mouse. Follow the repair instructions for i8600 on how to replace the palmrest since there's about 24 screws you'll need to unscrew, disconnect the video card and LCD monitor in order to replace the palmrest. It's not that hard but just remember where the screws and cables goes when you put it back together. No need to install the mouse driver since Windows XP will auto-detect and install correct driver. It took me about 10 minutes top to do this procedure.
