Hi All,
My new E6430 ATG came with the 1366*768 touchscreen LCD (Dell X53MX / Samsung LTN140AT18) which I'm looking to swap out for the non-touchscreen version.
Does anyone own a E6420 ATG or E6430 ATG? I'm desperately trying to find a model/part number for the 730 nits outdoor viewable panel which fits both laptops but for some reason Dell only have the standard 200 nits models in their parts database.
I'm told these panels are rare but Dell must be able to source them for warranty repairs... surely?!

If you manage to do the swap I would be interested in buying your touch screen assembly for my E6420. If so, please drop me an e-mail
directly rather than thru Dell's forum as I rarely browse around here. . I am not entirely clear at this point in my research if everything is compatible
but I am looking into it right now. Thats how I came across your posting. Hopefully my e-mail will be preserved from the hands of the mods of
this forum. I live in northern California just north of San Francisco.

Hello,
Just to follow up from my original post, I was able to replace the touchscreen 1366x768 panel with the non-touchscreen version back in July 2013.
I finally found one for sale on eBay - Dell part number X7JCD / 0X7JCD, Samsung LTN140AT19.
It has a Dupont Display Enhancements sticker on it which explains the outdoor viewable and brightness improvements.
Cost 160USD to send from Malaysia to the UK, but it was worth every penny for such an excellent panel.
