I would say it suxs too.  I thought a smart card security was something that the laptop came with.  Something like if I remove the card, the laptop wouldn't power on or something. (Never had a smart card security)

And from a previous post I see it has the slot, but no software and no card.  To me thats like "comes with windowsXP"  Only to find out, its a 30-day trial and you need to buy the key.

This to me is not like asking for free dvds to play in the dvd player it comes with.  Nor is like asking for a 129mb memory stick with a memory stick reader as at least with that you get the software to run it.

I remember three years ago, when Dell included a blank CD-R in the box when we ordered Latitude with CDR drive.

Even now, when you buy a CD/DVD writer, you'll find a CD/DVD burner software, and a blank CD/DVD.

Yep, its no use to me without the card and the software.  No worries; it doesn't take up much room anyhow.
