Typing problem with keyboard/cursor
I have a Dell Latitude LS PP01S Model,
Ever since I have had this computer I have been having a problem with my cursor as I am typing messages or emails or posting topics, or replying.
Sometimes while I am typing my cursor will end up in the wrong place( above the paragraph, at beginning of message, in the middle of another paragraph)
this will throw my thought and timing off track and I will have to go back and delete the part where the cursor messed me up at.
So this is really annoying and it does this almost every time I post a topic or email someone. I am sure that this is through no fault of my own.
Does anyone know anything about what could be going on, or had this similiar thing happen to them before in the past? I hope that you guys understand what I am talking about, and I painted a good enough picture for ya.

Thank You for whatever help you can give me.

- I have had the same problem recently but not in the 1-1.5 years previous. While typing in Word or Outlook, the mouse just jumps wherever it wants - sometimes in text itself, other times to email address, etc . Then, when it gets really cranky, the whole system locks up and I have to turn it off manually. I, too, would appreciate any advice. The Touch Pad sensitivity change mentioned does not make any difference except to virtually disable the touch pad.

slide this toward maximum, could also reduce "sensitivity" if you need more.
ALPS Consoles now have "Hide Pointer" and "Turn Tap Off when Typing" not
sure of those on Synaptics.
If you don't find any of the above, you are on Windows generic touchpad drivers.
Synaptics Touchpad, Driver, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Multi Language, Multi System, v.6.7.11, A21
Release Date: 12/16/2002
Click above to download Driver from Dell, click below for Driver from Synaptics:
(I often find Synaptics versions more up-to-date than the Dell supplied version)
The Synaptics device driver
Windows 98/ME v8.1.2 All Languages 5.23 MB zip
Windows NT v8.0.6 All Languages 5 MB zip
Windows 2000/XP v8.1.2 All Languages
Windows 95 English Only
My Latitude LM was shipped as a Win95 System and that is the only Synaptics that
works properly, even though it has been upgraded to Win98:)
