My Dell 2408WFP Rev A00 had power save problem. It was replaced with RevA02. I also changed my graphics card from Nvidia 9800GX2 to Radeon 5870. So far, the power save problem has not recurred. Hope it stays that way. I suspect it has to do with the A00 firmware coupled with the video card drawing too much power and the card running too hot. If you have the same problem, you may want to exchange the monitor with RevA02 and switch to a less power hungry and cooler video card. The 9800GX2 runs at 79 deg C idle compared to 37 deg C for the Radeon 5870.
