That is an entry level DVI-I video card. We have not tested it on the 3007WFP. Yours only supports single-link DVI-I so you will only get 1280x800 on the 3007WFP.

DVI-I is a superset of DVI-D.

Any video card out there that does support DVI will more often than not have a DVI-I connection on it. It supports both analog signals and digital signals in one cable. This means that the cable can transmit either a digital-to-digital signal or an analog-to-analog one, but it will not transmit crossovers of either one (digital-to-analog or analog-to-digital). It also means that if you have a DVI-I port on your video card your fine hooking up most DVI-D or DVI-A devices without needing a seperate adapter.

Note: None of these cables can be interchanged with other cables. A DVI-D cable cannot be placed on an analog system nor can a DVI-A cable be placed on a digital system. The standards can not be mixed. A DVI-I port however can accept another DVI-I, DVI-D or DVI-A cable.

Chris M, can you please tell me if any of these cards you have listed as supporting the 3007WFP will fit and work with either the Dimension E520 or Dimension E521 desktop? I don't want to have to buy an XPS or Precision if I can avoid it.

I have a Precision 690 running Windows XP. My video card is FireGL V7200. I recently got an internal SATA HD/Blu-Ray DVD player. Just because of that I am getting a 2707WFP (that is supposed to support HDCP) My question is if FireGL V7200 supports HDCP (if it's irrelevant, please bring this up also!)on DVI connector - and if not, are there any other options to make the video card to play movies on this monitor. This is AMD/ATI response to my question: ---------------------------------------- thank you for your request to the Technical Support of AMD. Unfortunately the ATI FireGL V7200 does not support HDMI and therefore no HDCP. For watching HDCP content you have to have a HDMI-capable graphics card, e.g. the ATI HD 2000 or the ATI HD 3000 series. Feel free to ask if there are further questions. Best regards, Marc D AMD TSC

Chris, I have a PWS 690 with Nvidia Quadro FX 3500 card. Does this card support HDCP and is it suitable for adding an internal SATA Bluray drive in PWS 690.
