monitor screen went white !!

Hello, I was just on line and as i was typing my dell monitor went all white ..

I tried everything to no avail ..

I then took out an old dell monitor  that i'm using now, and that's working fine ..

Can that other monitor be fixed or do you think its shot ??

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thank You

    Hi,

Are you using a Dell monitor with the system?

In order to assist you in a better way, please let me know the model# of monitor.

You can also run a monitor self test on your monitor following the steps below:

    • Turn the system and the monitor if the system or the monitor is in off state.
    • At the back of monitor there are two cables connected to it.
    • One of the cables is coming from the rear of system tower which is the data cable and the other is the power cable connected to the wall jack.
    • Please, disconnect the data cable which is connected to the rear of system tower but do not disconnect the power cable.
    • After few seconds there will be a box with multiple colors moving around the screen which would mean monitor is working fine.
    • If you do not see that colored box then there could be an issue with monitor of your computer.

    Please reply with findings.
