Exchange 2007 CCR passive node backup

Hi Guys,

2 questions:

this is meant to be supported in NME 5.1 sp2, has anyone managed to get it to work?

also has anyone managed to get it to work with NMM?

Thanks

    Hello all,

A small version of RM (referred to as "RMAPI" or "RMagentPS") comes with NMM. This appears not to have gotten installed correctly. A version of PowerSnap is also provided.

Pls try this: uninstall NMM, PowerSnap, and the RMagentPS, and reinstall NMM.

    Thanks,
    _Scott

I also would like to know how you configure this.

I have installed NME 5.1 SP2 and everytime I lauch the NME console from my passive node I am greeted with a window like this.

    Server: Wood-5
StageCCR1 is not a client of this server

wood-5: this is my netowrker management server
stageccr1: is the virtual server name

What the hell does this means?

    Regards

NME 5.1.2 is not supported for backup of CCR passive node according to the release notes. You will need NMM for that.

Import seems to fail, I guess you would need to run debug and check proxy host for more messages.

we are not running a proxy (well the exchange client is a proxy of itself).

I am getting this error now:

    63429:nsrsnap_vss_save: NMM .. informational: failed query of reg key CC_DEBUG_LEVEL - 0x0
63347:nsrsnap_vss_save: NMM .. Replication Manager configuration missing from registry.
63327:nsrsnap_vss_save: NMM has detected that Replication Manager initialization has failed -- 0x139f

Got a call logged with EMC but I am not getting much joy, so any help is more than appreciated.

Do you have replication manager installed?

No we don't, that is the strange thing.

The databases are replicated via Exchange CCR, they do reside on a Clariion disk but replication amanger is not installed.
