Notify by e-mail group when specific save set completes
Hi Folks,
I currently have NetWorker 7.6.3 set up to notify a group if a saveset completes or fails, which works fine, however we started rolling our Database server backups into NetWorker and our DBA team needs to be notified of the success/failure of these backups. The database servers are all in their own group, and what I would like to do is set up a notification to send to my team AND the DBA team if the DB backup group succeeds or fails. However, I don't want the DBA team to be notified of any other savegroup completions. Has anyone done this before?

If this is online backup of Oracle, DBAs can see that from catalog and grid software (Oracle again). If something else, I would suggest to have separate groups for individual databases (I do that for example) and from there doing notifications should be easy.

Hello Jonathan,
You can try setting owner notification for the Database client.
On NMC, Client properties > Global (2 of 2) > Owner Notification.
Use the same notification syntax in the owner notification.
Notification will be generated, when the client backup completes or fails.
