Oracle database backup problems

I´ve just installed networker 7.4 on an Oracle database 10.1.0.2.0 running on Windows Itanium, the rman script used to backup is basically the same I use for disk backups except for the channel directive:

run {
ALLOCATE CHANNEL tape1 DEVICE TYPE sbt;
BACKUP FULL FORMAT '%s_%p_%t' DATABASE MAXSETSIZE 40G;
sql 'alter system archive log current';
backup archivelog all;
release channel tape1;
}

The problem I'm having is I'm getting this errors:
RMAN-03009: failure of backup command on tape1 channel
ORA-27206: requested file not found in media management catalog

It appears as if something is actually being backup up since the tape grows at about 60%

I tried resyncing the rman catalog wothout any luck, the backup is being made with the database up but in a time period in which there is no users, I even made a disk backup on the same time period and it went smoothly.

Can somebody shed some light on resolving this matter?

    have you got any defaults for channel allocation? If not try this:

    configure channel device type ¿sbt_tape¿ send ¿NSR_ENV=(NSR_SERVER=server)¿

    you can also use parms to specify NSR_SERVER
    Example:
    ...
    allocate channel c1 type 'SBT_TAPE'
    parms "ENV=(NSR_SERVER=zola)";
    ...
    HTH
    Abdon
