I want to set an interface to an L3 switch but it seems is not able to do it like the S3124.with the command, no switch port then follow by IP addressIn N3024, it doesn't seem to allow the IP addresses to be configured on the interface.

Hi Owen,
That is right, it has to be assigned to a VLAN. Page 2051 https://dell.to/30yYLNx

Is there a reason why you are using layer 3? Are they going over a WAN?

Hi Josh,
Will it affects my routing, cause I intend to connect my N3024 to S3124 On S3124 the port is L3 port with IP address of 10.1.1.1/30
On N3024 can the access port communicate with a L3 port?

It is going to depend on how you have things configured but they probably will be able to communicate over layer 2.

No it doesn’t, you would have to replace the switch with another S 3100.
