b120 with internal 1370 pci problems/questions
O.K. I have read many posts on this card. DOES this 1370 wlan mini pci card have an internal antenna or not? Why does this card work fine sometimes and then not work at all? Even without losing connection and while maintaining a strong "excellent signal strength". Seems to me like this is a defective unit. I have another laptop with a dell external card on this network and it works absolutely fine. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
Did your B120 come with the wireless adaper already installed? If it didn't then the problem may be that B120s sold without the internal wireless adapter don't have the internal antenna. If it did come with the wireless adapter already installed, then the problem lies elsewhere. Have you configured the Power Management settings on the wireless adapter to always supply full power?

To help troubleshoot this problem, go to Start > Run and type cmd then click OK. In the command prompt window that opens, type ipconfig /all then hit the enter key. Write down the output from this command or select it and save it to a txt file, then copy this output into a reply to this message.

Thanks for your response. Yes it was pre-installed. I also did try the full power setting to no avail. I tried many other settings on the card as well. I toggled them on and off. I don't understand why a brand new laptop with a built in card would have this many problems. Again, when wired using an ethernet cord it runs excellent. Thanks for your help volcano.unknownhuman

Also, did you mean power save mode or minimum power consumption?

BTW I have already very thoroughly diagnosed this problem. I tried firewall on/off. Virus on/off. Also d/l the newest driver available. And many other things. The comp surfs fine when plugged in with ethernet cord so that eliminates software issues. Someone please help.Thanks.
