checksum validation failed for the pin entered error

Hey

I am trying to connect via wireless on a dell inspiron.

The router i am using is a thompson.

I have the wireless pin off the bottom of the router. When it asks me for device ownership password I typed in the pin.This then gave me the error 'checksum validation failed for the pin entered error'.

Any ideas on why it didn't work or what i could try to get it to work?

The password must be 8 characters long. so the the passwords wont work. They are all 'admin' and this wont work. Any other ideas?

How to login to your wireless router

Try using these Recommended Wireless Router Settings, I use channel 11. Paswords MUST be at least 13 characters long.

I can if i am plugged directly into it. Also my fl8m8s are also connected to it and they had no trouble connected.

Try running Finding System Information, remove your product nID and post the rest of the results back here.

You did setup the wireles router with the Recommended Wireless Router Settings, correct?
