E1505 wireless

My daugter's wireless has been disconnected & the Fn + F2 does not work.  Can she re-connect to wireless via Control Panel or other means?  its an E1505 dual core laptop, with Vista home basic, a Dell 1390b/g wireless card.  I need to enable the wireless radio.  Thanks.

    courtsdad,

Did anyone by chance un-install QuickSet, which controls the hotkeys?

What does the device manager show?

    courtsdad,

go to control panel and switch to classic view, now scroll to the bottom row of icons, and click on mobility center, at mobility center upper right side click, turn wireless on.

Thanks. As I try to walk her through it over the phone, she says there is no Mobility Center icon in Control Panel.  For Vista, does it go by another name?  She can open Wireless, but it says no wireless adapter is installed.
