Im trying to network my computers in my house... My new dell dimension (running XP is 2.66ghtz 512ram 120gb hd) is in the basement.. Ive connected a D-Link DI-624 router to this computer and my adsl modem. I fairly confident that Ive installed the router correctly... My problem is that my old computer (running Windows 98 Second Edition, 733mhtz 320ram 30gb hd) doesn't seem to reconize the wireless PCI adpater that I connected in a open PCI slot. If it matters this computer is on the 2nd floor so it would be a floor apart from the router,,, well anyways I followed the instructions provided with it (its a D-Link DWL-G520) I installed the driver that came with the cd then turned off the computer and insterted the adpater in the PCI slot. I noticed that the adapter's connecter was a little different then the PCI slot but it fit anyways.

IF you understand my weak visuals I was also wondering if the above would pose a problem, the box said it required a 32bit PCI slot and my pretty sure this old computer has 32bit PCI slots. SO anyways once the adpater was connected to the computer and i turned the cpu on.. the D-Link software and said "No card Found"
