Thanks Jim. One other question. I bought an inspiron 2650 used, but it has all of the software. but when I try to open a word program it defaults to a page asking for the key code. It did not come with the disc for word. Is there any other way to get the key code?

If you are not able to get the key for Word (1st owner may help) try Open Office.  Open Office is a very good option.  It can be downloaded for free from www.openoffice.org Most people would not know it's not MS Office.
