Hello - I just re-installed Windows XP Pro and all the drivers (I thought) for my 8600, but I can't get to the internet. I have an ADSL line, and in the past (other pc's), the connection was always there without anything special required on my end.
In Network Connections, the connection is showing up as "1394 Connection 2", it shows as Enabled, but un-plugging the cable doesn't show it as then disconnected. I tried to "Repair" it, but got an error message about "TCP/IP not enabled for this connection". I see TCP/IP when I look at the properties for the connection
On my invoice, the network card is listed as "Integrated 10/100 Network card and modem"; but on the Resource CD, the only driver it shows as checked is the PRO/Wireless 2100 LAN.
