I installed from MS downloads the Dell WLAN 1350 for a 2200 notebook -- using XP (SP3) on DSL WIFI with Qwest. Every time I start or reboot, I get a 1" x 1" box on my desktop that I have to "OK" out of a few times? with the message WLTRAY Function Failed. PC is virus clean, Malware clean, The pc runs ok, fast, with a solid connection. I could use some help please... TIA...
If you indeed get the driver from Microsoft, that could be the problem. While MS drivers will usually work, there are often problems associated with them. Try this driver from Dell.
It appears in the windows/ms downloads "Dell driver update for Dell Wireless 1350 WLAN Mini-PCI Card" Why I don't know? I downloaded the driver you attached, Somewhere on install it said I was installing the exact same driver, (do I want to overwrite it, yes, ect) So we will give it a try tonight.. I know drivers can be shakey sometimes on a download....thanks for the reply..
