It’s odd because dell techs have provided how to do it in other questions that have arose over the years here.
Also I checked my invoice and yeah it’s my hardware that I purchased. Now after the fact you change it, after I have paid for the hardware, your company now has locked me out of setting my own hardware, that I have been able to do. Seems like if you want to make blanket changes it should only be on new sold/leased hardware and not what is out there and been used by the customer there OWN way.
Do you see the problem? If not maybe this should be taken up to a higher level in the company.

Hello, I said it here as well https://www.dell.com/community/en/conversations/power-cooling/dell-poweredge-2950-ipmitool-insufficent-priviledge-level-when-setting-fan-speed/647f9087f4ccf8a8de1cbcbe?commentId=67e6d51f457e32024db90b8e
In my opinion, if it is not documented it is not meant to be controlled by users.
