How to find OID

Hello,

I’m trying to setup a new monitoring solution (oh how I miss Dell Openmanage Enterprise). This new 3rd party monitoring solution seems to require OIDs.

I’ve literally spent all day trying to find what I need and hasn’t been a great use of time.

I’m having all sorts of issues finding the OIDs, is there a clear document with all the OIDs for poweredge r620 upwards basically to 740?

Also can you tell me what the OID for network nic speed? I’ve found an OID (I think) for some network readings but can’t see nic speed.

Thanks

    I use the combination of

    • snmpwalk
    • MIB [1]
    • A MibBrowser (sometimes a GUI can help :))

I downloaded the MIBS earlier but I couldn’t see a read me to actually say whats in each MIB but I guessed the v2 one.

Should I be using a different MIB to find nic speeds like 10gbps?
