2850 add raid

I've recently purchased a 2850 server without the embedded raid to evaluate for a special program. All is well, now I want to add the embedded raid controller.

It is my understanding that all I need is a ram module and a raid key to the existing system.

I was given H1813 and 4D554 as the parts numbers from Dell support, but am unsure if this is all that I need as the parts prices are less than buying them in the original system were, and they are combined less than 3rd parties are charging for the same parts.

Anyone have the details on the reality of adding the embedded raid to the stock 2850.

You will also need a ROMB lithium battery P/N G3399 to complement your RAID key and 256MB DIMM.
Try asking Dell if the Part  # D4782 is the complete kit.

Bear in mind that when you convert to RAID you will have to do a complete rebuild.
From the BIOS you will need to convert the SCSI-A/SCSI-B from SCSI to RAID config.
