PE4300 major problem

Hi,

I'm currently having a major problem, atleast in my opinion. A few months ago, i purchased a PE4300. Today i had the crazy idea to do something with it. So i booted up the PE4300 and saw a few error msg'es.

They looked quite harmless, since it was a system i never used, and since there were no logical drives configured by me. I started working, opened the perc bios config utility and defined a new array with 2 logical drives in it.

So after doing so, rebooted my system, and i'm only geting the following error during startup from the  SCSI Select utility.

NO SCSI boot device found!
SCSI bios not installed!

The poweredge expendable raid controller is working fine, it reports that the 2 logical drives are there.

Browsing the web for some firmware updates didnt helped me either, since i do not have a floppy drive in this server, only a cdrom im beginning to think that i have a problem.

Can somebody point me to the right direction of installation, configuring of the drives, if i did something wrong or maybe someone knows how to fix this, cause wheni run the SCSI select utility, it doesnt detect the scsi drives.

Thanks in advance

This is not a problem. The system is just reporting that you do not have anything attached to the

    onboard SCSI port.

Your drives are connected to the PERC controller.
