Mechanism of Load balancing

Hi All,

Could you pleaes let me know the mechanism of Load balancing.

I mean, how load balancing works

Example :

Suppose I have a file of 4 GB and then how it will be balanced on both the port.

Will it go thru a single port or from both the port..??

If from both the port then how the data will be devided..??

Hi Rajeev,

I moved this to the ControlCenter online community, so it gets more visibilty. Can you tell me what version of ControlCenter you are using and if we have your question in the correct community?

Rajeev,
It apppears you are asking how load balancing occurs on multiple SAN ports from a host perspective, and that is a Powerpath question. There is an Open Exchange Powerpath forum, but I do not have access to move this thread there at this time and I am not sure it is the correct community for this question.

Hi Rajeev. Can you tell me more about the environment that you are using? Operating system platform? PowerPath version? Storage array?
