My Precision 7520 audio jack isn't recognized with RealTek drivers, but is recognized when I switch to simple Windows drivers.

Maybe this is OK in most situations, but I run a podcast and depend on audio quality.

Am I not getting the best audio quality (mic and playback) when I stick with Windows generic drivers instead of RealTek? Does it matter?

Interestingly, I've tried all the old RealTek drivers too, all the way back to the first one that's compatible. I can duplicate this problem like clockwork.
