I have Prcision M4800, we have just changed to new modem, when I try to connect the modem does not show in list of available connections. It shows many others in the area but not the new one. Any idea?
It's hard to be definitive since you didn't tell us what WiFi adapter you have or what modem/router. You also didn't say if you have other devices (computers, phones, tablets, etc.) that can see networks on the new modem/router.
It's possible that your WLAN network adapter can handle only 2.4 GHz, while your new modem may default to 5 GHz. You would still see 2.4 GHz networks nearby, but not 5 GHz networks. Enter the administration screens for your modem/router to enable 2.4 GHz as well as 5 GHz.
If no devices can see the new modem/router, then you may need to manually enable/create a WiFi network on it.
