Actually the items on the CD include: Supplies Management System, User Guide, Status Monitor Console, and PS driver.
These are not needed for functionality of the printer. The only thing you need for the printer is the driver.
Actually. The drivers on the Dell Support site do not allow you to install the printer off the network.
There is no installation program on the downloaded drivers like there is on the CD. It's totally lame. If you're saying this is incorrect then by all means please provide instructions on how to install this printer from the network on a Server 2003 and XP system from scratch.
If Dell would just put up the CD ISO and self extracting EXE for the latest driver CD that'd solve that problem.
I have a similar problem - no CD, and I cannot figure out how to network the printer. It works fine hooked up to any of my PCs (all are Win2000). I can ping the IP address on any PC and get back the Printer Status page, but I need the CD to get this up and running on a network. Does Dell sell the CD separately? I could not find it anywhere on the website. My printer is a 3100cn.

You can download the drivers, but the rest of the installation files on the CD I have not found anywhere.
