Issues with communication with J740

My printer (J740) refuses to communicate with the computer. I've tried replugging, reinstalling, holding buttons for ten seconds..even going in and messing with the printer spooler (the man on the dell phone line told me to.)
The paper feed button is also blinking rapidly.
Please help...please....

    the paper feed button might blink if paper is not fed properly or even if the printer is out of ink. You may try checking these things and post with some more specific details, bcoz communinctaion error might be caused by many reasons.
