can't reinstall Dell Command | Update

<You replied to a 2019 thread. Started your own thread. DELL-Admin>

I'm experiencing the same issue. I ran Dell Command | Update, and during the update process, it seems to have removed itself. Now, I can't reinstall Dell Command | Update because I get the same "incompatible product" error. The problem is, I can't find any Dell Update or Dell Command | Update listed anywhere to uninstall. Any help would be appreciated.

Open Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features. Look for any entries related to Dell Command | Update or Dell Update. If you find any, try uninstalling them. If not, proceed to the next step.

    Hi NiiDaChief:

Has your Dell service warranty has expired?

What is your Dell computer model, Windows operating system [open a Run dialog box (Windows key + R) and enter winver to find the version and OS build number] and BIOS version?  To find your current BIOS version open a Run dialog box, enter msinfo32 to display your System Information, and look for the field named "BIOS Version / Date" in the summary.

@NiiDaChief  Just happened to see this thread. The only times I've had problems installing DCU, I needed to update .NET. It's worth a try to make sure .NET is up to date before trying the DCU installer again.
