I am trying to convert a Power Point presentation for my information design class to a PDF, but I am having an error message occur. The message says: PDF maker cannot locate Adobe PDF Printer's printer driver. Please re-install Adobe Acrobat 7.0.
I re-installed Acrobat 7.0 with my disk, but I still cannot convert this Power Point presentation to a PDF?
Do you know what I need to do?
Do I search for this "printer driver"?

My message doesn't come up when I install......It happens when I am in power point with the desired file open, then I try to convert to PDF with the tool bar option that says PDF.
Have you tried the "old-fashioned" method, before Adobe decided to drop that toolbar in programs? Pull down your File menu, then choose Print. Make sure to designate whether you want to print Slides, Handouts, Notes Pages, or whatever. Then, for your Printer name, pull down the options and choose Adobe PDF. Click OK. See if that works. This is how Publisher documents have to be converted, as Adobe doesn't drop the Acrobat toolbar into Publisher.
Didn't say you were trying to print it. The old style way of converting documents to PDF was to use the Acrobat Distiller (which was considered a printer) and was listed under the printer options. This would simply allow you to convert it and save it to a location on your hard drive in .pdf format without sending it to your printer and getting a hard copy.
Don't know what to tell you from here. If it's not listed as a printer -- which is essentially what Acrobat is, but in a different format -- then you will need to go to Adobe for support. Search their site, or call their tech support. Sorry.
