2300MP projector
I am trying to connect a digital monitor to the vga out on a 2300MP projector. I get a message on the projected screen that basically says that I need to connect my computer to the vga in port.
I have tried it with several computers. They all work ok except for the message.
I think something in the signal coming back from the monitor is making the projector think it is a computer.
Is there a way to disable this message?

Additional information.
The monitor is a Dell E151FP. I have made sure that the cables are properly connected - computer on VGA in and monitor on VGA out. I have tried it with the monitor connected and turned off. I get the same message.
I have not been able to find any information about this on the internet or dell sites.
