I have a Dell Dimension XPST 500 and want to add a cdrw. It has 2 channels on the motherboard, channel 1 is for the HD & Channel 2 holds the DVD & zip drive. I read a post on here that gave me a page all about adding a cdrw. It delt with moving the zip drive to channel 1 with the hd and then moving the HD to the extra hd bay cause the cable wasn't long enough to reach the two bays and stuff like that. It also said the best way was just to add an i/o card just for the CDRW which sounds like the less hassel way to go. My guess this isn't very costly so do you know of cheap cards that come with the cables? Adding a lite-on cdrw and running Windows 98SE
