I get this message when trying to open disc on my Samsung DVD-ROM SD616T. Discs don't auto play. I don't get the pop up windpw that asks which program I want to use to run the disc. This is also true for my Sony CD-RW drive.  If I open Media Player I can usually get the disc to play. I have a Dell Dimension 4600 running Windows XP Home.

The CD-RW was actually replaced and seemed to work fine for a few hours. But now is back to not functioning. No point in calling tech support. They have been unable to figure out the problem and I can't understand the the person in India I'm talking to and they seem to only know what's in the script. Rebooting doesn't always fix the problem.
