I can't give you an answer but I am having the same problem. When I try to delete or trash junkmail in hotmail I get a thing about reporting junkmail to MSN but it never deletes. I have asked MSN but nothing they told me works. They even said they fixed it on their end but it still doesn't work.

What I get is an MSN Hotmail window that says something about reporting junkmail to Microsoft and it says the item will be deleted. There is an OK box and a Cancel box . Checking either one does no good, the item is not deleted. I tried checking delete all, still no good. Thanks. Maybe it will help budhorne

I don't know if this applies, but Microsoft mentioned they were going to discontinue allowing Outlook/ Outlook Express to access and use a 'free' hotmail account, due to hotmail account being flooded with spam.

Thanks for your help.MSN tells me ways to fix this but they don't work. Yesterday I couldn't read my mail. "Page not found" message came up. I can read it now but still can't delete the junkmail-- even one that has been there 5 days and should have automatically deleted is still there. They delete if I open them but I don't always want to do that. I have a Yahoo email and a Local Express email which are fine. Perhaps I should just discontinue the MSN one. Thanks
