We are planning for test DR drill on VNX Unified system. The current plan we have is as follows: Stopping the replication and making changes at DR file system, we don't want to initiate a reverse sync, we are planning to restart the replication from Primary site itself.
Here my doubt is, if we are starting the Replication from DC, the changes done at DR will get discarded or not. Kindly suggest.
Is there any other simple way to test the DR NAS file system without interrupting users.?

=> if you start the replication from DC then changes at DR site will get discarded.
We did DR drill test and here is our steps:
1. Host IO stopped at DC site and then final incremental update initiated
2. We planned to run the set-up two days from DR site and the changes made from DR needs to be replicated to DC. So, we promoted secondary mirrors and we ran the set-up from there next two days. In this phase, incremental updates happened from new DC (old DR) to new DR (old DC).
3. Again we stopped host IO in new DC end and promoted the secondary images.
4. DC and DR site came as before the drill activity.
Note: (as per Primus/Webtop solution ID:emc307336)
When you promote a secondary image, the new secondary (old primary) is automatically set to manual
recovery. This is how the promotion feature works. If you want auto recovery, you must change the mirror
properties after the promotion. Changing the recovery policy from manual to auto for the secondary image
ensures that the next promotion will not start a full synchronization.
The given steps are helpful. But we are planning for a test DR drill now, which will not interrupt users or production environment. so we are suppose to do the changes only at DR Luns or DR snapshots.

create read/write snapshot on DR array and export that to your users, no need to stop replication.
