Firmware-Upgrade VNX5300

Hi @all,

i´ve a general question. Is there a way to install an firmware-upgrade without using USM?

I mean, can i for example, use the EI_DVD to install the firmwar-Upgrade?

Yes there is a CLI upgrade method

See the VNX procedure generator or let support create a procedure for you

Hi Rainer,

i´ve already seen. There are several dvd images i can use to upgrade firmware via cli.

But i guess the EI_DVD is the wrong.

You are correct in your assumption. EI = "Express Install" (changed to Courier New so it doesn't look like a lower-case l as in "lima") which is for a fresh (re)install of VNX OE for File which you of course aren't looking to do.
