When I turn on the computer I get an error message reading.  IPMON32.EXE - unable to locate componet.  This application failed to start because IPHOOK32.dll was not found. 

Whatever this is will not allow me to get on internet/email.  I thought this was a verizon on line problem, but they say no.  There is something wrong with my computer.  I have a dimension 4550 with XP windows.  Their techs tried to help me "renew" IP address because they say it is not right.  It will not renew.

Any help will be highly appreciated, I am lost on this.  Thanks
