Can't install programs

I'm using Windows 7.  When I tried to install my printer software or a program, I received a message that said:  Install Script engine missing on this computer.  Run:  ISScript.msi

Can anyone tell me how to do this?

    Thank you for your help but I have a couple of questions.

    I don't know what file I'm supposed to be installing.  I'm trying to install software from CDs but nothing except the error message comes up in the window so there isn't a "Properties" tab or option (or anything else).

    Also, for the InstallShield IsScript.msc downloads website, you refer me to "Resources".  Where can I find the resources?

    I'm sorry to bother you but as I said in my post, I'm not very good with computers.
