Event Viewer: SDDMI2 service error
i've read through the forums, and information i can find online regarding this error. i receive no notification on the desktop of an error, or a request to add new hardware. i only became aware of the problem when i looked in the event viewer (my computer, properties, manage).
how do i make it stop? there are litterally hundreds of red x's, and looking at it, i have no idea if there are other things that might be a problem. random checking is all a problem with the SDDMI2 service...
i tried to find the device on the device manager, other. i don't have an other category that i could see. i'm not the brightest bulb in the basket, but i can read...:smileysad:
help...

click start>run
type in: sfc /scannow
(space between sfc and /)
click ok
sfc will replace any missing/damaged XP system files. Insert your XP CD if sfc requests it. Reboot when it's done and check Event Viewer again for any errors after the most recent boot.
