I want to buy a GoBack for my computer. Does anyone know what the difference is between the Roxio GoBack Deluxe and the Norton GoBack are? And which one is the best one to buy? Thanks.
I went online and purchased the Norton GoBack and put it on my desktop so I can download. Now I have a question about how to download this. I have my regular hard drive which is "C" which has 40GB hard drive and I installed a second hard drive which is "D" which has 160GB. Now when I go to download this Norton GoBack, it ask me where I want to install it and I put in my "D" drive because the other drive is almost full. I click on the Easy Install. Then a box comes up saying "The following list summarizes which of your hard drives will be protected by GoBack. Has a check mark next to Drive C - 3,815MB and then a red X next to Drive D - none. How do I get this GoBack to protect both my C and D drives? What do I do?
i would move data from the c drive to the d drive, making room for installing goback on the c drive. but it might not make any difference.. i am not familiar with using goback.. for information about how to use goback, look in goback's help file..
I have room on my "C" drive to install this GoBack, that's not my question. My question is that I want GoBack to protect both C and D hard drives. When I install this, it only says that it is protecting the "C" drive and not the "D" drive. My question is how do I get it to protect both drives?
I've used GoBack for several years. If I have this right, GB restores your
OS and registry to a time in the past (drive C:\ ). If your D:\ drive is data storage only, there's nothing to restore (no OS, no registry). By the way it's an excellent program. There are times that system restore turned out to be useless and GB saved the day.
That sounds good. So I can install GoBack and leave it on my "C" drive then and it doesn't matter that it doesn't protect my "D" drive anyways because all my windows stuff is on drive C. The D drive is only to install other programs onto it like games and other program stuff. So I do an easy install and install it on my main drive which is C right? Thanks. I had Roxio GoBack installed on my computer and someone had told me I had to uninstall it then reinstall it because I added a new hard drive. So, stupid me, uninstalled my Roxio GoBack Deluxe and I couldn't reinstall it because I lost the CD so I had to buy the Norton GB online. Now, from what I see, I didn't have to uninstall my Roxio so I just wasted a ton of money.
