Help! Audio gone on TV+Recorded Shows

 
Gah.  I hit enter, and the message posted before I had a chance to put any text in.
 
Anyways, the subject is pretty self-explanatory.
 
Programs recorded up to 9/13 have audio.  Programs recorded yesterday (and live TV) have no audio. 
 
The hardware info: Dell Dim 5100, 3.0 GHz P4, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB HDD, XP MCE 2005 w/ TV Tuner + Remote, SB Live! (non-Audigy).  All Dell-installed--heck the computer is only 2 weeks old.

    Got it figured out.  Apparently the computer just needed a good (re)booting.
     
    I forget how long it had been on for.  There weren't any obvious issues with anything else, though.
     
    Unfortunately, the shows that recorded w/o audio were still w/o audio.  :( 
     
    I didn't try and turn on CC to see if that worked.
