Internet File - Can't Delete

I have an internet file that won't allow me to delete it.  The file name is perflib_perfdata_69c.DATfile.  Is a virus?  Should delete it and if so, tell me how to do this.

    Apparently it is a performance monitoring file related to motherboard function.  And apparently it is replaced with a new file each time you boot.  But read the whole thread.
