nvrd32.sys not found

I want to reinstall my Windows XP as my system is running slow, etc.  Got a brand new disk from Dell with XP SP3 on it.  Great.  Did all my backups , etc. loaded the new disk and go the error "nvrd32.sys not found" then it goes into a rebooting loop.  Anyone got a fix for this?   how frustrating Dell sends out 'new' disk  versions that dont work!

Enter the bios and see if raid is enabled, if it is disable it, see if it will boot now.

What model of PC is it?
