Vista Stalling (Locking up)

Vista Home Premium locking up for 60 seconds every ten mins.  Used the  Home Premium Express Upgrade.  Dell's Tech answer to the problem is to do a system restore.  Any other suggestions.

You didn't mention your machine type, etc., so it's hard to help you.  But check the following link to Intel's web site, it may help you for freezes with intel chipsets and Vista:

Well Richard...Vista disabled your Dell Symantic Quick Restore program. You can re enable the program by running the Goodell Quick Restore ISO image file. Just download the file and burn it to disk. Then boot to the cd and folllow a few comands. Follow the link and scroll down to the ISO part and skip the rest.... be sure to read the instructions ...you have to copy the commands. Takes about five minutes in all.

Dell Computers with Vista Preinstalled have Quick Restore but upgrade customers do not. We have the old Dell Symantic Quick Restore.
