I am running an Inspiron 1420 with the highest resolution being 1440 by 900 pixels. Whenever i try to set a wallpaper of that resolution, the wallpaper turns out to be smaller then the actual image. When I tried to place the same wallpaper at a resolution of 1024 by 768, the wallpaper looks the same as when I placed the 1440 one. I have updated the video drivers and is at a loss of what the problem could be. Any comments will be greatly appreciated!
What wallpaper resolution that you are having issues with ? There are different resolution wallpaper for different screen sizes and resolutions, anywhere from 600X800, 1024X768, 1280X1024, 1600X1200 and so on as an example. If you got a lower resolution wallpaper, it will not fit the entire screen.
Place your mouse arrow over the wallpaper icon to see what resolution it is.
You can also stretch the wallpaper as well to fit the screen, but it will distort the image of many of them.
Here is a wallpaper site that you can download different size wallpaper for your system that is close to the monitors native
Sorry to barge in on your reply. I don't have a solution, but I do have a problem......I am new to the forum and cannot find where to start posting....can you tell me?

Than if you have a question you might want to hit the First Time User Board first if you cannot find the correct board to post on. You post a question by going to the correct board for your issue, and click on
New Message near the upper left top of the board you are on. You make a brief Message in the Subject area on the top, than in the message body you post your question. Than at the bottom left you see Submit Post and click on it. After which you wait for someone to answer your question with a reply.
Also you can just surf the different boards listed to see what is being posted on those boards so you will know where to go. If by chance you make a mistake and post on the wrong board, some member maybe very polite and guide you to the proper board or they will bite your head off for posting on the wrong board :smileyvery-happy:
The Moderator may even take your post and move it to the right one. This happens many times so do not feel too bad about it.
