Windows Mail

I uninstalled Macafee that came with dell inspirion. Although paid for 18 months worth 6 weeks ago.
I rang Dell as it would not allow me to send email out (Got msg - Check receiptiant format...)Now I installed a free PCTools from the net for anti software till I try and get Macafee advice..They want me to pay for software advice ..Not a hardware issue even though its a dell recommended product that is causing my difficulty ...I keep getting a message ..Specify account when messagses are in the outbox. I click no and it sends mail anyway..I have only one email account in Mail.....Any adviced how to get rid of this Specify account message?

That Dell does not support third party software for non-basic configuration is something most of the Dell customer know...
About McAfee, what you should try will be to check the settings to allow WinMail to work fine, if you need to create a rule do it.

Even after uninstalling McAfee, some parts remain. Try using the help site at McAfee to find the uninstall utility to remove the remnants or contact them by Chat. They helped me a while back with a similar problem.

dell customers get free support at McAfee when you call 800-269-6990.

I sympathize with your problem. I have run McAfee, Norton & Trend Micro and have dumped them all. Each one of them functions as if they, and only they, will decide what appears on your screen. I've had these junk applications ignore my instructions to not download updates without my permission, I've had them pop up nag screens trying to sell me more junk...nag screens that took the best part of a day to eliminate and their support desks are manned by salesmen who will tell you the junk they sold you last week is not a very good product and only by upgrading (at the cost of a new car) to the new junk will you get the performance you paid for.
The best I have found so far is Shield Deluxe, it is very unintrusive. Another good system is AVG  which is free, but has an upgrade you can buy. (I figure if you don't buy you can't complain.)
Try downloading Windows Install Cleanup to get rid of the last vestiges of McAfee. I had to use it to get rid of Roxio. I hate these cleanup downloads. I just don't trust them to remove only what I want removed...to my thinking, having to run a second application to either remove or facilitate the first application means the initial application is garbage.
