I am trying to login to a server in a workgroup. I can see the server but when I go to log in, Vista inserts the name of my compter in front of my user id. How to I set up my user account to only provide a user name?
You can delete that extra text if its causing issues.. I've noticed that sometimes happens at home as well but not every time. I dont know of a way to change that at this point. There might be a registry tweak for it.
Well, it's like Vista is trying to use the tcp/ip name of the client PC as a Windows domain name. I backspace over the name but Vista puts it back in...
