I have a Dell XPS 5DN3X motherboard and I'm trying to run my Intel Xeon E5540 on it. It powers on but won't boot. I get no display or anything, just power on fans and HDD's running. I hear these boards are particular about which Xeon will run on them and am wondering if my E5540 is one of the incompatible Xeon. I have a i7-930 if I need it laying around somewhere. I'd like to just use the E5540 to save the trouble of tearing up my bedroom looking for the i7.
